Where It All Began

I was born and raised in New York. At the time when I was 11 years old I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This not only had a major impact on myself but also the people in my surroundings. When I was a teen, I decided to take fitness seriously and get a personal trainer. I always had the ” skinny fat ” body type. Genetics also had a lot to do with this. Being a kid, it was difficult and overwhelming learning about how to count carbs and how to manage my blood sugar. Fitness not only helped me physically but mentally also. This is my way of giving back and helping others.
